Our "base" rankings algorithm is calculated using race results, race entry fee, how far back the race was run and the class of the race. We then apply this base algorithm to rate the difficulty of every race ever ran and reapply the weightings to arrive at our LIR ranking (which is the equivalent of an ELO rating in chess for example).
With this information now firmly in our vault, we will be building breeding tools, horse and race analysis and market pricing models in the future. The sky is the limit!

The legacy rankings, using a unique ELO model.
This is a list with various filters for the LIR Rankings, using our powerful ELO algorithm that rates, then reruns, every single race ever ran.
We are developing a new ELO ratings system that will underpin a whole host of new tools. Coming soon!
